DESCRIPTION: A missionary from Spain . Born on October 3, 1773 . Entered the Augustinian order; went to the Philippines in 1795, then to China to spread Christianity for 20 years. Consecrated archbishop on October 28, 1830 at San Agustin Church. Sent several circulars to the clergy, inviting them for annual retreat. Died on July 4, 1845.
