TITLE: Juan Angel Rodriguez, O.S.T.

DESCRIPTION: Became professor in many universities. Appointed confessor of the Archbishop of Lima, Peru. Presented as archbishop on May 18, 1731 and took possession of Manila in 1737. Introduced the Gregorian chant, prohibited night processions, and reformed several feasts. Died in 1742.
