DESCRIPTION: A native of Carrion De Los Condes of noble parents. Became a Dominican and went to Manila with the first Dominican mission in 1587. From Bishop of Nueva Segovia, was transferred to Manila in 1603, the king defraying expenses of the Bull due to his poverty. Built Santo Tomas University . Died on July 26, 1605 , leaving his funds to UST.
