Cross Fire: Journey of the Youth Cross and I

The Archdiocesan Parish Youth Ministry of Manila (APYM) organized a program entitled – CROSS FIRE. This formation program was designed by young leaders who desire to share with and accompany other young people in pilgrimage with the Youth Cross of the Archdiocese of Manila.

Through the program the youth are invited again to gather around the Cross, to pray and hear the story of Christ being told and retold, his great love and sacrifice for humanity. With the youth cross, the image of the Virgin Mary is also venerated reminding us all of her motherly care and instruction to always follow her Son, Jesus.

The journey of the cross started last February 2009 and will end in November of the same year. The youth Cross and image was welcomed in the Manila Cathedral-Basilica last April 19 and stayed until April 21, 2009. The following is the program of events prepared by the MCB Youth Ministry for the stay of the Cross at the Cathedral.

Through this activity, the MCB Youth Ministry members are motivated to continue their service at the Manila Cathedral. Youth members also pledge take on the challenge of Msgr. Cerbo to be more obedient to their parents and to study even harder as their way of following Christ.
