Visitors appreciative of Catechetical Exhibits, Mini Museum There have been visitors to the Manila Cathedral-Basilica (MCB), who were very appreciative of the Catechetical Exhibit. One foreign tourist, upon seeing the exhibit, remarked, “It is so beautiful and well laid out!” While one local visitor suggested that it would be good if MCB could come out with a booklet on the Catechetical Exhibit so that they could have a handy copy for reference. MCB Rector, Msgr. Nestor C. Cerbo responded that it will be a project in the near future. The catechetical exhibit is located inside Sta. Potenciana Chapel at the right side when facing the altar. It shows that the Manila Cathedral is the mother of all Churches and Cathedrals in the Philippines. Since it is also known as the Cathedral- Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Catechetical Exhibit explains what a cathedral is, what a basilica is, and what Immaculate Conception is. The said Exhibit was blessed and launched on December 7, 2008. On the other hand, the MCB Mini Museum, located at the Choir Loft is not yet fully open to public but those who had the chance to visit it had all nice things to say about it. One said, “It is professionally done!” The Mini Musem showcases the Post War Manila Cathedral and Pipe Organ. It was blessed and launched on December 6, 2008. The blessing and launching of Catechetical Exhibit and Mini Museum were part of the launching activities for the 50th year celebration of the Post War Manila Cathedral and Pipe Organ.
