Farmers in hunger strike join in simbang gabi

Farmers in hunger strike at the Batasan grounds went to the Manila Cathedral-Basilica (MCB) to join in the first day of simbang gabi presided by Most Rev. Broderick Pabillo, Auxiliary Bishop of Manila and Bishop in-charge of the Pastoral and Social Concerns of the Archdiocese of Manila.

The farmers were coming from Calatagan, Batangas; Laguna; Negros and Camarines Sur. They joined Bishop Pabillo in all his succeeding simbang gabi schedule. They were in hunger strike including. Bishop Pabillo in order to convince the Congress to pass the proposed law extending and putting significant amendments to CARP (Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program).
