The best cultural evening so far…

It was to be expected because the Gala Concert of the 3rd MCB Pipe Organ Festival was the blend of the best from Austria and the best from the Philippines, Dr. Johann Trummer and the Las Piñas Boys Choir respectively. The remark was made by the Vice-President of the Parish Pastoral Council of Sanctuario de San Antonio, Forbes Park, Makati, to Msgr. Nestor C. Cerbo, MCB Rector.

He told Msgr. Cerbo that he already went to several eveningcultural events and concerts that December but he found the Gala Concert his best cultural evening so far. Mr. Danilo Dolor and Mrs. Letty Syquia who were seated with him during the concert were in agreement with his assessment. And His Eminence Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop of Manila, who was seated in the same pew, seemed to have been enjoying the concert.

Mr. Dolor and Mrs. Syquia were among the nine newly commissioned Trustees of the recently re-activated Manila Cathedral Cultural Foundation (MCCF). This was held during the 50th Anniversary Mass of the Post War Manila Cathedral and Pipe Organ on December 10, 2008, immediately before the Gala Concert. One of the purposes of the MCCF is to take care of the Pipe Organ Festival. Mr. Dolor and Mrs. Syquia already showed excitement for the next Pipe Organ Festival.
