CFA opens ‘Pondo ng Pinoy’ poster contest A church-based organization has organized a nationwide search for an original artwork to promote a project for the poor of the Manila archdiocese. The Communications Foundation for Asia (CFA) wanted an image that could represent the “Pondo ng Pinoy” in one collateral such as that of a poster. Carrying the theme “Fullness of Life in Pondo ng Pinoy,” the contest is aimed at tapping the potential young artists to visualize and publicize the project’s spirit of sharing. Pondo ng Pinoy is a church project initiated by Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales in 2004 that aims to gather small denomination coins or “crumbs” to help fund the Church’s various projects for the poor. “Through their boundless imagination, young Filipinos may contribute greatly to the national campaign to promote the Pondo program initiated by the Archdiocese of Manila,” the CFA said. The poster design contest is open to young people ages 18 and below. The sponsor allows the use of any art medium including computer-generated artwork with the exception of clip art. Deadline of submission is on April 30, 2008.Schools, institutions and groups interested to promote the cause among the youth may avail of posters containing contest guidelines through the CFA website (http://www.cfamedia.org). |
