Dr. Johann Trummer, Las Piñas Boys Choir to lead Festival Gala concert

Internationally acclaimed organist Dr. Johann Trummer from Graz, Austria is one of the top performers of the 3rd Manila Cathedral- Basilica Pipe Organ Festival on Dec. 5 to 10.

Trummer is dubbed the Pope of Pipe Organ music in Europe. Other artists in the lineup include the Philippines finest organist, conductor and choirmaster Armando Salarza; multi-awarded composer, conductor and accompanist Alejando Consolacion II; and the highly promising organist from Hawaii, USA Ken Weber. 50th anniversary logo unveiled, Additional Wedding Packages launched

The 50th anniversary logo wasunveiled and the AdditionalWedding Packages of the ManilaCathedral-Basilica (MCB) were officially launched on December 5, 2008.

The Triduum is the threeday activity, which consist of offering masses and prayers, in preparation for the celebration of the Solemnity of Mary, the Immaculate Conception on December 8.

The 1st day of the Triduum is also one of the launching activities to usher in the celebration of the 50th Year or Golden Jubilee of the Post War Manila Cathedral and Pipe Organ. “The 50th Anniversary logo is self-explanatory except may be for the slogan, “Premiere in Faith; Premiere in Music,” said Msgr. Papal Nuncio to bless the Cathedral Mini-Museum

His Excellency, Archbishop Joseph Edward Adams, DD, the Papal Nuncio in the Philippines blessed the Cathedral Mini- Museum on December 6, 2008, the Second Day of the Triduum, after the mass.
